Starry Night. Starry night by Van Gogh sold only one painting in his life, the aftermath of his work is enormous. Starry Night is one of his most famous paintings and has become one of the most well known images in modern culture. The painting shows the village of Saint-Rémy under a swirling sky, in a view from the asylum towards north. Since 1941 it has been in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
The Persistence Of Memory - Salvador Dali Painted in 1931 by the Spanish artist Salvador Dali, The Persistence of Memory is one of the most recognizable pieces in art history. This work of art is known to make people ponder on their way of life and the way they spend their time, and it is also thought that Albert Einstein’s Theory of Relativity was inspired by this wonderful piece.
Guernica is one of Pablo Picasso most famous paintings, showing the tragedies of war and the suffering it inflicts upon individuals, particularly innocent civilians. Picasso’s purpose in painting it was to bring the world’s attention to the bombing of the Basque town of Guernica by German bombers, who were supporting the Nationalist forces of General Franco during the Spanish Civil War. Picasso completed the painting by mid-June 1937.

I believe that these paintings have been the most important in the history of art, my favorite is the painting "Starry Night" by Van Gogh, I think is the best, although the others are also of great artistic quality.

Very well done! To me personally i really like the painting of LEONARDO DA VINCI called "The last supper", which expresses peace, but also that of VAN GOGH called "Starry Night" because I like the landscape and make me be in harmony with nature! Pamela Guadalupe Cerna(:
